TTC after DH has had Orchitis

Hi all,

We have recently decided to TTC and there is one thing bothering us.

In Feb my DH ended up in hospital with a severe urinary infection and Orchitis in one testicle. He has been left with some narrowing of the tubes and some lumps of scar tissue in and around his testicles.

We have been really lucky and have a lovely family, but are desperate for one more baby. He did ask the consultant at the time about the affect on fertility but kept getting told that he was only interested in the urinary side of things and didn't refer him to anyone else for advice. We therefore have no idea whether he will still be fertile, or whether fertility will be reduced.

I suppose we are after some hope and advice/stories from people that have been in similar situations...

Any advice etc would be much appreciated.
