This month I have nothing other than sore (.)(.)'s and get a BFP. I have just started using Cyclogest 400 mg at night for a LPD (low progesterone resulting in spotting from 8dpo through to AF on 14 do) and was warned these could mimic pregnancy symptoms. I am confused, excited, scared. Any ideas?

I had 4 cycles with no "symptoms", two with sore sore boobs, one with the entire catalogue of symptoms and this month no symptoms of af or pregnancy.
ALL bfn!

Thank goodness for chocolate.

I am afraid it's mother natures way of being a right bitch. She knows you desperatly want a baby so she makes you think your dream has came true.
If it's any consolation the same thing happened to me as well. My last period was from 29/3-2/4 and I was due a visit from A.F on 26 April and when she did not show up i thought I would be announcing good news. I did God knows how many tests and all B.F.N's. I had all the symptoms. sore boobs, getting really emotional and taking everything so personal. head aches and sickness. However I do know these symptoms can occur before a period. Anyway Aunt Flow came this morning. So I hope to have better luck for next month.
I do agree thank goodness for chocolate. Mind you I just use my period as an excuse really. I am just a chocolate monster all the time. xx

Did you mean to say bfp? If so, congratulations :)

Thank you for all your replies.

Sorry if my op was not clear, basically I poas last Friday on what would of been 14 dpo, the test didn't show positive straight away but did show positive within the minute. Every month prior to this, I have had major pregnancy symptoms which all disappeared around 11 dpo.

So this month, I have my BFP but no symptoms what so ever. I am going to poas again on Wed and see if the line shows up quicker, darker as I guess this would indicate my hcg was increasing.

This would be dc3 for us, with my first dc, I had no symptoms what so ever, with my second dc, feeling nauseous at roughly 8 dpo told me to poas. I then had a miscarriage in Jan 13 which I presume was a result of a LPD were I bled from 8 dpo through to miscarrying at roughly 6 weeks. I again felt extremely nauseous very early on.

So here I am, I have my BFP but no symptoms and I am just wondering if using Cyclogest is prolonging a failing pregnancy. I will make an appt with my obstetrician for the end of the week and hopefully get my hcg levels checked.

Thanks all.

I had fewer symptoms on the month I got my BFP than most others.

Cyclogest is not going to prevent a failing pregnancy. I used it for Lpd for this pregnancy (also dc3) and had no symptoms whatsoever until the horrific ms kicked in at about six weeks. I felt paranoid the whole time using cyclogest, then paranoid when I stopped. The gynae assured me however it won't save a failing pregnancy, just stops a miscarriage occurring due to inadequate progesterone levels.

Congratulations! Your lack of symptoms sounds like the biggest pregnancy symptom to me!

I may be talking utter bollocks here but aren't some pregnancy symptoms caused by progesterone which also causes PMS symptoms. So maybe what you have previously felt is just your AF symptoms and now you are pregnant they are lacking.

You are right batfuttocks, I remember asking that very question when I asked for my prescription of cyclogest. When did you stop using cyclogest?

So I did another test yesterday lunch and got a BFP straight away. I have an appt on Fri with my obstetrician as well, will hopefully get some blood work done.

I am still lacking in any kind of symptoms though.

Thank you for all your replies.

Unfortunately this evening I have started spotting so I guess for me, the distinct lack of pregnancy symptoms was a bad sign :-(

Thanks for all of your advice, take care all.
