Blood donation while ttc

Both me and DH donate regularly but are just about to start ttc. I know I can't give if I am upduffed by then but I'm also wondering if blood donation (for either of us) would reduce fertility if we were still trying?

I gave blood at the end of August and was pregnant at the start of September, so in my case, no! I now have a beautiful 10 month old DD Grin

I gave blood and later on that month found out I was pregnant with Ds1 he's 13 now and super intelligent but I don't think this counts as a decent study size to give you the correct answer. Give them a call, I'm sure they will be happy to let you know the protocol.

I've wondered about this too and stopped donating while TTC as I thought that putting extra stress on my body couldn't help (donating tends to leave me feeling weird for a while afterwards, weak and easily breathless etc). However I would be very interested to know what the official position on this is if there is one, so please update us if you find out!

Thanks for the responses.
I know it sounds silly but I'm bit unsure about calling them- I feel weird admitting to anyone in rl that I'm trying :$
I may just miss one to be on the safe side- or hope I'm upduffed before my next time comes round and its a moot point :D

I'm ttc and gave blood a week ago: the nurse at the donor session said I was fine to donate as long as I was sure I couldn't be pregnant yet. They didn't mention whether it would have any impact on ttc but they have so many restrictions and checks that I'd assumed it's ok unless told otherwise by the blood service.
