Ten years ago I had an ectopic pregnancy, I did not know that I was pregnant until I got to the hospital, after my right tube had ruptured.
I had key hole surgery to remove it, and was told that my remaining tube was swollen and damaged with adhesions, and that I would need IVF.
A year later, I fell pregnant again, but I "knew" I was pregnant, sore boobs, feeling sick e.t.c, so did an early test, and it was positive, I panicked and went straight to the doctor, who sent me to the gynae ward the next day.
They did a scan, and could not see anything, so did a blood test to check hormone levels, and they did another test 48 hours later, to see if they had doubled. They had dropped quite alot, so I was told it was a miscarriage, not an ectopic, but they would do another blood test 48h after that one, just to be on the safe side.
Anyway, they did the third blood test, and the levels had risen by 5, so they thought that it could be ectopic after all, but because it was early I got giving Methotrexate, which worked first time (I read in the information leaflet that sometimes a second shot is needed). So I still have my left tube.
For the past week, my boobs have been in absolute agony, so I bought some Poundland First Vue tests, not thinking that I was pregnant (we've only done the deed twice this month, nowhere near EWCM time either), but I like to do a test at AF time, just incase.
Woke up this morning did one, and there was a very faint line after a couple of minutes, it got slightly pinker, but still faint after about another minute.
AF should have came on Friday, thats why I'm panicking about the faintness of the test, if it was a normal pregnancy the line would be darker?
I'm hoping that it's faint because it's a cheap test, but I'm trying not to get my hopes up, going by my past.
