About to start clomid!

I'm starting clomid today (eek fingers crossed) and wondered if anyone knows if there's a best time to take it in terms of effectiveness? I know at night is better to avoid side effects but wondered if it works better if you take it during the day, does anyone know? Thanks

I don't know, I'm afraid. I'm sure the docs would say if there was a good time. Only prob with taking it at night is that you might forget and then you've around 8-10 hours before you'll remember again!

The time of day it is taken won't make any difference in terms of effectiveness.

The important thing re clomid is to ensure that you are monitored whilst on it as it is quite powerful stuff. They should ideally do both blood tests (clomid can increase LH hormone levels markedly which is not always ideal) and ultrasounds to see if an egg has left the ovary.

No monitoring of any sort is not good at all.

Oh no Christelle, I cracked and took it at 11am haha! Oh well hopefully it doesn't make a difference. Brilliant it worked for you. Did you drink on it by the way? Had a couple of glasses with friends tonight and not sure if that's a bad idea x

Ps oh and thanks attila, I am being monitored on it, they are giving me a scan on day 8. Not sure about bloods though, don't think I'm getting those tested, I think they said just scans and home ov tests
