First post on here and not a happy one. On Sunday I got a BFP ......and then started bleeding. Today, I am getting BFN's.

Just in those few days (and the two weeks leading up to it, because I 'knew' I'd fallen pg with some positive symptoms...) I got so excited and happy that we would have a sibling for DD. Now I feel on such a downer.

Has anyone here gone through a chemical pg? Is it likely to throw my next cycle out?

This really sucks Sad

Poor you, PC. Of course you got excited - so much hope.

I have both had 2 "chemical pregnancies" myself and also worked with hundreds of women in the same boat in the fertility clinic I work in. Some women recover and revert to their normal cycle straight away and some others have an erratic month or two before things settle down. Try to eat well and sleep well and be kind to yourself.

Chemical pregnancy is such a horrible expression. Makes many women feel like they were not really pregnant at all. You were pregnant. You've had an early miscarriage. Hope you make a good recovery and are back in the saddle again soon.

Hi there

Sorry to hear about your news. After my early miscarriage/chemical pregnancy my next period was 1 week late.

Look after yourself- even though you only knew you were pregnant for a few days it is still such a blow. Don't belittle your feelings.

Thank you both ....

The worse thing was having to phone DH today. He is working away at the moment and I phoned him on Sunday to tell him the good news. Today I had to phone him again to tell him it was game over Sad

Even though I knew it was early days, I got so carried away and excited ...

Arrgh

So sorry purple I have had three and they all suck, the first one was the worst because like you I assumed everything would go well.

I have been lucky and my cycle reverted back to normal pretty quickly but I think it can vary. Hope you are feeling better soon, it's completely normal to get carried away and excited.

Again really sorry.

Sorry to read of your loss :(
I had a CP in June. The next cycle I actually ovulated a few days earlier than usual but my luteal phase was longer than usual. I knew this because I was charting. This month I have ovulated as usual so hoping that things are back to normal now.
Hope you get your sticky BFP soon.

Thank you. This is the worst bit now....I am bleeding but not that heavily and still have huge boobs and bloated tummy. Just want it to be over Sad

Been there too. It's horrible I know, you dare to believe then get let down so quickly. Thinking of you. So far as I know, I don't chart, my cycle hasn't been affected.

purple I'm so sorry, it's really tough isn't it? I too would dearly love a sibling for my dd but have been let down twice this year, last month with a CP (started bleeding 1 week after my period was due after countless positive tests) and in January with a MC at 6 weeks. Am so worried she won't get a brother or sister! Sad she would make such a beautiful big sister too! Really hope you feel a bit brighter soon xxx

Another early MC here.

I didn't realise how common it was until I read so much about it on here.

The only comfort I felt was to keep trying.

My DD will be a great big sis too and each month that passes I feel is a bigger age gap.

Fingers crossed for future BFP for all.

(selfishly meaning me when I POAS in the morning!)
