Gave up bfing 2 months ago and oh and I have had unprotected sex on a number of occasions...we agreed to ttc number 2 in December so have started using condoms in the meantime. I thought because I only had 1 proper period since giving up bf that I probably haven't ovulated and is pretty safe to assume I won't get pg.
The other day I had a terrible pain in my side, which I think is ov pain, but since then I've had a dull period like cramping (but no period)... I got this when I was very early pg (before pos test) with dd.
I've had pretty bad backache and have been fancying salt and vinegar crisps (which I don't normally) again I did when I was pg with dd. I have also been feeling queasy.
But I only started my last period on the 2nd July so surely I can't be???
Does it sound like my cycle and body returning back to normal agin after pregnancy and bfing (I bf for 7 months).

First day of my last cycle was 1st July. I had a + on a first response this morning. No sickness, just one sore boob 
and tired as hell.
Are you of the "you KNOW when you are" school of thought?
TY Alabama, CB was neg this morning though. Stupid tests, how are we meant to know if the bloody test makers can't even tell us! 
Good luck on POAS. I know you were going to wait till Dec but what will be will be.
I'm going to leave it a few days. I hate spending £10 to pee on something. I'm sick of POAS for both ovulation and test. I may just leave it nine months to see if child appears or not.
