Any natural ways to lengthen luteal phase naturally?

Hello

Thanks to my CBFM I realise that my luteal phase is only about 7 days, which is obviously not helping with TTC DC2 and in fact judging by the info online might make it impossible.

When I conceived DS I ovulated on day 11, it is now c. day 24, which I guess doesn't seem good either. I do have PCOS, so am used to different length cycles. I do appear to ovulate each cycle.

Anyone trying/succeeded extending it naturally? Looks like B6 supplements are the way to go?

I will also go to the Doctors. However as I am overweight, I am thinking they'll just shoo me away until I come back smaller! I have lost half a stone on ww so far, but I have a good few stone to loose, which I know might help the situ too.

Another friend announced her 3rd pregnancy last night :(

Any experience/advice?

TIA
WS

I used Vitamin B6? I think it's supposed to help (and has lots of other good benefits too). I was taking 50mg a day (in addition to conception vits) and am sure it helped.

This is My first month on 50mg of B6 taken from the first day of AF. I'm now on 1dpo so I will let you know if my usual 10 day LP is any longer than usual! I bought cheap ones from Asda but think you can get from holland and Barrett. They say it increases energy too, and I do think this might actually be true.

Hi watersign

I just wanted to update you while this was in my mind - I'm now on 12dpo only ever having made it to 10dpo before so the B6 does seem to have had an effect. I'll update once my cycle has definitely finished to let you know the outcome but I just wanted to give u hope that it can work Smile

My LP went from 11 to 14 days over several months. I was trying agnus castus, 100mg of B6 and acu. I am not sure which one is responsible but there was a positive change, but it wasn't instant.

Hi

Just an update. A month into metformin and vit b6, i am ovulating 8 days earlier than i did on my last cycle!!

Obviously my period might arrive earlier too so my luteal phase could still be too short and it could be a PCOS fluke...However, I have obessively charted (using CBFM) the last 3 cycles and the earliest ovulation was day 24, so I am hopeful this is the start of my hormones sorting themselves out.

Anyway, wishing us all lots of baby making luck.

Sorry, should also say thanks for the responses too. It gave me hope to read them when I was feeling a bit miserable about it all.

Hi just wanted to add I possibly have same thing (pcos and short luteal) only suspected as ovd day 28 and cycle varies from 33/46 days. I've read that it's fairly easily fixed with vitamin B6 tabs and progesterone cream which you can get over the counter x

Did you take B6 50g alone or was it part of a vitamin b complex?
