I know you can buy conception kits with conception caps.... but can you use a cap that is meant to be a contraceptive for the same thing?? I can't seem to find much online and wondered if anyone had any knowledge of this?? I had the cap when I was in the 'not really bothered if I do become pg but still not quite ready to ttc!'.

Just wondered if on the days we have morning sex I can use it to keep the swimmers in!!!!

I did this with a mooncup. I did get pregnant. But I think realistically all the good swimmers will get through your cervix pretty fast. Then gravity will mean that you will spend all day with lots of redundant spunk slopping around in the cap. When I took out the mooncup it always had a teaspoon or so of semen in there. Though I think that a mooncup sits lower in the vag than a contraceptive cap....

Thanks Bonzo! Still early days for me to be thinking such things! But I hardly used it so thought could come in handy!
This ttc is making me irrational. I bought a dress in the next sale which would look good with a bump in summer and some baby Xmas books!! this is not really me!!

You would need to be careful what your cap was made of - latex is lethal to sperm.

I wish bean!!

Oh I didn't know that freelance... I have no idea and don't have the box :) I'll give it a wide berth and look at the mooncup! I thought it was the spermicide that killed the swimmers x
