That you are more fertile after having a child? or is it an old wives tale?

I know your are very fertile just after having a baby, but I mean like a few years?.

I'm certainly not more fertile a few years after DD unfortunately, so with this sample size of 1, I'd say no.

I don't agree either.
I know plenty of people who managed to conceive DC1 with ease and really struggled to conceive DC2.

Personally, I was more fertile second time around, but I don't think that's generally true.

Just after yes. Long term, I don't think it has a significant impact generally or why would there be so much secondary if?
However my friend has Los, conceived on her last dose of clomid and had DS. She felt like giving birth 'kick started her body', she got pregnant with DD without trying. Suddenly she was ovulating every month, very aware of when, before she hadn't been ovulating most months. I don't think increased fertility is a common thing.

It's meant to be true for polycystic ovary patients. It sort of gives us a kick up the bum iyswim.

I certainly have been more aware of when I ovulate since having DS - I never had ov pains before but did some months after. However, sadly it didn't make me more fertile as it took 19 mths and a HSG to get pg this time (as opposed to 3 mths for DS).

So I think it can change your body, but not necessarily to make it more fertile, and I have also heard similar tales of PCOS people getting a kick start.
