Hi was after some advice. We are planning to try for baby no 2 in Jan but dd 9 1/2 months is still breastfeeding. She has a feed at 5pm, 7pm, 12 midnight, 3am, 5am and 7am (none in the day as I am working).

I have not started ovulating yet as no periods up until Oct. But a few weeks ago I had a bleed and I am not sure if it was a period or not (sorry for all the details). Haven't had sex with dh for many months but we had sex a few weeks ago. The next day I noticed I was bleeding, bleeding continued for 4 days but was extremely light. I normally have light periods but this was exceptional.

So I wanted to ask, do you think that could have been a period or a post sex thing? Also would I be mad trying for baby no 2 when still co sleeping with dd?

Not mad no! I was still feeding DS1 ( child no3) when I was pregnant with DS2 they very happen tandem fed until ds1 was 2yrs 9 months and ds2 was 11 months. It's not exactly what I planned, but it was fine. Are you intending to continue co-sleeping indefinately? or is there an age at which you were intending to graduate your dd to a bed? Ds2 co-slept with me until he was around a year at which point he wanted more room! At that point the feeding through the night dropped down slightly to a late evening feed, a morning feed ( 7 ish ) and one around midnight which gradually fizzled out. At 2 years old he still has a late evening feed a feed if he wakes in the night and a morning feed if he wants one.

Hope some of that helps, oh, and go get tested! Theres nothing worse than not knowing :)
