ovulation bleeds and ttc

Since having ds i have been getting a little spotting mid way through my cycle about 12 days before my period (CD16 or 17). It is just when i wipe in the morning really for a couple of mornings. I spoke to my doctor and she thinks it is related to ovulation.

Anyway, we have been ttc for a couple of months and it's all changed???? Last month the spotting came a couple of days later than normal and then on and off until I got my period (quite heavy at times).
This month again nothing when i would normally get it, but then i've almost had a full period with clotting but not due until next weekend.

Has anyone experienced this?

Do I assume that maybe we conceived but it failed (hence no spotting mid cycle but a bit later) or that everything is just going to pot and we could have trouble conceiving?

Or should I just stop over analysing things????

I get spotting a couple days after my ovulation every month, i have always presumed its the egg....
