always worked for me.I got boys when I used them girls when I didn't!

I think if you concieve when you are ovulating there is more chance of a boy as the male sperm swim faster.If you do the deed before ovulation the girl sperm live longer so are hanging around waiting to be picked up iykwim!

Hope it works for you. If like me you find pee sticks exciting you should invest in the cbfm. At least ten sticks a month!

Fidelma- not tmi atall- our friends used ovulation kit and they had a boy and they were saying what you said the other day.
I cant wait to use it- I had tiny smudge of bleeding on day 21 then big proper bleed would make it 24day so I'm going for the 24 day on the little chart which says to start testing tommorow fingers crossed. Always have a fear that its going to show that I'm not ovulting at all- stupid eh?
Kat- whats a cbfm please?

funny about the boy thing - conceived on first month of trying with ovulation kit and had - a boy.

Hi all! We've been using Digi ovulation sticks for just over a year now with no success. Tests all ok with gp. Should we dtd on the day of the positive, next day or day before? Confused as cycle regular 28 day, ovulate regularly: OPKs turn smiley on cd 14. When should we bd then? Sorry for tmi! TIA

Hi Fidelma- well I've been a bit lazy with it and probably confused myself too but hve only used it twice. We've been having sex every other day (seriously I'm knoackered!) and so I have only used it if I'm a bit tired and dont really fancy sex just to check if I am ovulating so really need to have sex (does that make sense or just make me sound crap)
I hae had really short cycles (sometimes 12 days in all) but last month I went 25 days and this month I'm on day 21 so I'm going to be happy either way really.

I tried to explain the whole boy girl thing to dh but it was lost on him-he kept sying about the temperature thing and just kept saying...so the longer after you ovulate the colder the sperm gets???I gave up in the end!!!!
FXXX I;m sorry to hear that it must be v frustrating but as you can see I'm not very good at this!Hope someone else can help you.
