Hi was wondering if anyone else has been through similar or knows more about it.
My friend has a DS who has just been diagnosed with a genetic condition and they have advised her that if they have anymore they will very likely have it too.
They have looked into adoption but are not sure its right for them so I have offered to be a surrogate depending on the legalities.
I have a 4yo DS and 14mth old twins with no problems in either pregnancy and am 28 so still young in pregnancy terms.
Obviously I will be using my own eggs and her husband's sperm but would like to avoid ivf for financial and invasive reasons.
Does anyone know how the legal side works? (parental responsibility/contract/costs etc)
My friend doesnt have lots of money so would obviously like to do it as cheaply as possible but my DH is (and quite rightly)concerned about having the legal side covered, he is happy for me to do it aslong as we dont end up out of pocket (dont want any kind of profit) and also that we dont end up with another baby (or two with my history!!)
Any help and advice would be great x
Have checked out COTS but as we are already matched up as intended parents and surrogate there isnt much info on it.
TIA
