IUI drugs side effects

Have been injecting for one week. Suprecur and Menopur at the moment and feeling pretty horrendous. Constantly thirsty, knackered, irrational - my poor husband, fed up and tearful, legs are bruised - injecting is challenging. I could go on.

I know its the start to a possible beautiful end, but God help me, its grim!

Anyone else.......?

Been there (OK it wasn't me with the side effects, but...)

The initial drugs cause your body to think it is in a menopause, so your husband is getting a good look at what the future holds for him.

But once you go to the next stage and the ovary stimulation drugs, it does get better honest and the side effects of the previous drugs did seem to clear up pretty quickly.

Make sure you are choosing different places to inject to try give areas time to recover as best they can, swap legs. I think the next set of injections go into the stomach, so that gets bruised too.

IVF is anything but fun - but hopefully it will be worth it in the end.

Opps, you are of course IUI not IVF Blush

The side effects still subside pretty quickly once you stop injecting.

Thank you.

We have chosen to stop this month. :( My results are not good this time round. More of the same next month I guess.
