House-swap: Gite in SW France for Xmas in Yorkshire?

hi - we're looking for a house for up to a week this Xmas (2010) in Yorkshire - the Ilkley/Skipton area which could sleep 7/8 (4 adults and 4 children aged 3-12), so that myself and my sister and our families can see our other 2 sisters who live in Ilkey + Skipton this Xmas!
In return we can offer a weeks holiday this summer (including July/August) in my sister's 2 bedroom Gite (sleeps 6) in SW France (in the hills, close to the border with Spain), the gite is next door to her house and she lives there permanently so can tell you all about it!
Ryannair flights to Perpignan (1hr) or Girona (1.5hrs)
here's hoping!

Hi.

My parents live in north Leeds, right at the edge before you head out on the A660 to Otley, about 30mins from Ilkley so you would need a car to visit your sisters. The house is only about 3 miles from the airport, with flights to Girona but not Perpignan
They have a 5bedroom house, one of which is a study, 2 have double beds, one has twin beds and 1just has a single but there is room for an extra airbed for one of the younger children. Bathroom with over bath shower and separate loo upstairs and downstairs loo. Large kitchen, separate front and dining room - not sure the patio and garden will be much use to you at Christmas.
They do ask that you feed the cat while you're there please.

Let me know if its any use for you

hi - thanks for the kind offer but we're thinking of trying to stay closer to wharfedale if possible to make logistics easier!
Thanks anyway though

Is central York any good or too far?
