Dd has pre-school booster jabs today, I'm so nervous!

I am trying not to show how nervous I am but I'm worried I won't be able to hold her still or she'll refuse to have them. I think she's going to scream and make a huge scene (can't blame her really). I know the nurses must be used to this but I'm all worried. Plus I have to take ds who is only 16 weeks - hoping he won't be crying at the same time or I might join in.
Any reassurance out there?!

My daughter was only three when she got these. I wouldn't worry about it as they don't really know what is going to happen. She will probably cry after the first one but you usually have them on your lap in a cuddle position. I am sure the promise of a big treat afterwards will make it easier and maybe have a lolly or a sweet in your bag to give if the crying starts.

I got more a look of indignation than any screaming!

Don't act worried otherwise your dd will think there is something to be worried about...and yes, I am sure that the nurse has had screaming kids in there before!

Thanks Pollymere - I'm going to be cool calm and collected.
Dd is three and a half and very savvy - she knows about injections from being there for little brothers ones...I will have chocolate buttons at the ready.

Sounds like a plan! Maybe an offer of a trip to the park or lunch out afterwards too??
