First ds1 and now ds2 seem to have a weird bug that involves a high temp but little else beyond generally feeling crap.

Anyone else's little ones had/have it? how long did it last? Ds2 is 9 months, always smiling, never ill and its heartbreaking to see him suffer like this...plus he's teething! Thank god for calpol and calprofen...

My dd had this a few months ago, when she was 3.5. Had to stay off school because she was so lethargic (and grumpy!) but that was the only symptom. GP just advised to keep doing the Calpol/Nurofen thing and it did eventually go. Took about a week, maybe even 10 days. Sorry!

Both my DC's had it over the holidays. DC 12 had it for 1 day. DD got it about a few days later and it lasted Monday evening to Wednesday.

DD had this yesterday!!

She spent the day laying on the sofa, generally being pitiful, but was not in pain, no rash, no earrache, no sickness etc.

She went to bed last night, slept through and was fine today!

So fingers crossed your ds has the short version

dd1 had something like you describe this week - Monday, Tuesday definately off colour but she said she could soldier on at the holiday playscheme so not too bad. She went to bad early both nights and flopped about eating the minium the rest of the time - then on Wednesday she woke up totally cured! It has caused her skin condition to flare up though.

O good, so there is hope yet. He's inconsolable til the meds kick in, poor little sprout. The beds set up in his room for me tonight...
