DD was born with broad great toes, basically her big toes are twice the size they should be, they are webbed to her second toe and her little toes stick out slightly. She is 9mo and the plan is to have plastic surgery when she is 18mo, but I think that she will be walking soon and I don't know what to do for shoes? Any one have similar experince?

My sisters children have the opposite feet...ridiculously narrow with long big toes. she has found a shop where she can get usually one pair of shoes to fit. she has no choice of styles or price, she is just gratefull to find any pair of shoes that will do!

Two of mine have flipper shaped feet, really narrow delicate heels that EVERY shoe slips off, and broad flat long toes that don't fill the shoe properly, necessitating insoles in everything.

We just have to try masses of pairs on until they fit.

Speak to your GP. My MIL had shoes made by the hospital to accommodate her arthritic feet - you should be able to get a referral
