Take him to the doctor OP. It might be a hernia....best to check.

Definitely take him to the doctor asap. It may be a hernia. However, my ds was born with a retracted testicle, it sat in his groin and looked just like a hernia. He had surgery at 11 months old to bring it down to his scrotum. It's quite common in boys, my brother had the same thing as a baby. It can sometimes right itself naturally, like a hernia can, but can often need surgery, also like a hernia often does. But you wont know until you get it checked.

I would get him looked at tonight, it could be a number of things which should not be left overnight - hope he’s ok

Thank you for your replies. I'm going to get him a emergency app at gp in morning as don't want to take him a&e again while so young without his jabs in his tiny system as he got ill last time because we was there for 7 hours waiting around children vomiting. I'm not going to lie I am a bit worried even tho he is baby number 6 and boy number 3. Just can't see why it's out the blue. Iv had a feel and it defo is testicle's and Iv had 5 hernias in this area so know what they feel like. Thank you again

Which of the illnesses he will be vaccinated against did he catch in A&E?

Might be an undescended testicle or even severe hypospadias - doesn’t really warrant an emergency GP appointment. Your health visitor can refer you directly to a pediatrician for further checks and an ultrasound.

So gp was useless as he just kept saying I don't know over and over and saying he can't look it up as the computers are not working. So Iv been checking my baby all the time and it's not his testis as they are in place😥 thank God. But now these 2 lumps are swelling more I'm adamant there hernias now so well done and thank you to everyone who has posted. so my next job is that he needs them checked out as I've had lots of theses myself pelvic and umbilical and really don't want my poor boy going tho the pain of them or surgery. And to answer mintymabel he got a bug which made him vomit over and over. I know no injections would have stopped that but you don't know what a unprotected baby can get from a hospital a&e that's why the jabs are there to protect our babies. X

Phone 111 or look for your nearest walk in centre.
In all honesty I'd go back into the doctors and get an appointment for today when there computers are up and running. They can't not have a computer work all day as it has all of patients details etc on it!

Not to panic you but mumps is doing the rounds in some areas and sweiiling of male genitals can be a sign in young babies. Please go to a&e or ring 111.

Completely understand your concerns re A&E. Is it worth ringing the ward he was born for advice since the gp was useless. Where I am they're more than happy to help when the babies are still so young. They'll have a paediatrician on hand to look him over.

@MintyMabel yes he did really as my doctors has merged with other surgeries so a new system had to go in which came to problems. Doctors was having to write notes down on bits of paper's so they can put it into the systems when there working.
