Run down or something else?

DD(17) has had headaches off and on for the past week (but is not dehydrated), aching hips, constantly cold & tired. Occasional dizzy spells when she stands up. A few nights ago we were at A&E with abdominal pain but they couldn't find anything wrong.

She has a tendency to worry about things and has longish days at school. Could it just be the result of a long half term and stress?

The earliest doctor's appointment i could get is next month which i've booked in the hope that things improve over half term.

Hi, has she had a blood test to check for all the obvious things such as anemia, thyroid etc? If so, then it may well be stress related. However if you're still not satisfied keep going to the drs till she is checked out properly.

Thanks to you both. Thyroid is certainly worth thinking about as there's family history (though i've been lucky so far). She would be very nervous of having a blood test but it may be the way to go.

@WhatHaveIFound do you live in the UK? Has your area got LIVI? It's a video call with a GP. You only have to wait a few minutes to hours for an appointment time and you can talk to them a out your DD. They have access to your records should your surgery be signed up. Just an idea I wast of waiting ages for an appointment.

BabyST yes, we're in the UK but i just checked and our GP isn't registered with LIVI. Would have been a good idea though.

DD has been slightly better this weekend. In the meantime I will keep checking online to see if i can get an earlier cancellation at the doctors.
