I've just been trimming my daughters fingernails, she's 9 weeks old (tiny nails!) I accidentally caught her finger, right next to the nail!! She started to cry, I feel horrible. It bled a little bit. She's fine now and it's stopped bleeding already but I just feel absolutely horrible. 😢😢😢

Oh dear that’s hard I know. I used to keep bumping my baby’s head on the doorframe so I think I’m worse than you if it makes you feel better? Xmas Wink

We've all done it! Wait till she falls off your bed, that's even worse.

Really no need to use scissors, they are so soft you can just peel them off!! No mishaps that way!!

I did this to DD when she was about 8 weeks old with baby nail clippers. I rang DP crying and he told me that she'd be fine and I was being a bit silly. She was absolutely fine and at 3.5 she has no idea it ever happened.

My dh did this to ds1 whilst at a hotel on brilliant white bedding! Red slots if blood everywhere! He felt so guilty not helped by my teasing but ds barely cried !

My DH did this to our DS when he was tiny, it happens, and they don't remember!! I have to cut my DS nails in his sleep now, he's 4 and will not let me do them! Before now I have accidental cut them too short, and you know what it's like when your nail is too short, ouch! He unfortunately does know what's going on now and says 'mummy, why have you hurt me??' 🤭
