Toddler tummy pains at night.

My two year old has woken distressed the last two nights saying that someone is hitting her tummy. I am guessing she has tummy ache.
She is really upset by it. Today when we got into bed she started saying it again so I've given calpol.
Does anyone think this is stomach pains? And if so what could it be?
She eats fairly well in the sence that some days she picks and some days eats loads.
