My 5 month old has a neurological disorder which causes seizures. She has recently been put on prednisolone and an anti epileptic to calm down her brain activity, which according to a recent EEG is working which is great. However the 27 days that she has been on then have been pure hell. She screams nearly all day, doesn't sleep, I spend most of my day clearing up her sick, we have had to go to a&e as she was vomiting blood and to top it off I'm in the first trimester and all I want to do is sleep and eat bland food.
She takes her last steroid tablet on Wednesday and I can't fucking wait but am now paranoid this is nothing to do with steroids and it's going to carry on.
Has anyone else had such a young child on steroids and had a nightmare?
Stupidly I said no to omeprazole initially so she's only been on that two weeks and that doesn't agree with her either and makes her sick as well but I'm perservering with it as life couldn't be any worse at this time!
