UTI and withholding pee

DD2 has tonsillitis and confirmed UTI following fever, chills, pain when peeing etc. dr gave her antibiotics and seems much better, but she is still withholding pee. It is 3 pm and my dh and me have not seen her go all day. I've just encouraged her to have apple juice but she was saying no thx to begin with. She says she feels better but I can't get a clear answer if it's still sore when she pees. She's 4. Any suggestions?

When dd had similar and needed a second sample when she was around two i made a nest for us on the floor, put the tv on with a potty next to us. It took four hours but she had to go in the end and the massive cuddle helped the anxiety. Appreciate that your dd is a bit older though.
