I can't work out what is going on. About 4 weeks ago we all came down with a sickness bug dd (3 1/2) first then the rest of us dp dd2 and I a few days later. We got over that all okay for about a week to 10 days. Last weekend dd1 was sick again first thing in the morning then again same day just before dinner time though she happily ate and kept down food in between, and then again the next night in her bed over 24 hours between being sick last sick Sunday night. Now I've just woken up and dd2 (18m) has been sick sometime in the night - she didn't wake up. Dd2 has had a slight temp for a day or two nothig major just running warmer than usual. What is going on?! I have been washing everything like crazy being really hot on washing hands, would you be worried I don't know if I need to speak to someone or if this is completely normal?

It does drag on sometimes, are their regular playmates experiencing similar? You just have to keep being extra scrupulous about hygiene and discourage sharing spoonfuls/cups oh and someone advised me, after a bout of illness, change their toothbrushes. If you can keep a little note of activities, play dates, transport - you might pinpoint a particular event or venue after which they always come down with a bug?

If it persists or any concerns do ask your health visitor for advice.

I would also remove dairy from the diet for a few weeks, when a tummy is sensitive dairy can irritate it.

Hope you all get better soon.

We've had a very similar thing here with DD (just 2) Start of sept Gastroentiritis for 7 days. Vomitting for 3 days, runny nappies for a further 4. Then start of October, vomitted once in the middle of the night, ok the following day. Last week a few runnyish nappies, high temp of thurs, ok all weekend then vomitted on Tuesday of this week, slept all day tues and most of weds and is on top form again now. I was getting all upset about whether it was all my fault and whether it was because my house wasn't clean enough but I got put right on that. I just think it's one of those things, but the last couple of times she's been sick it doesn't seem to have come to anything else. Fingers crossed for good health all round.

I remember a dreadful period of recurring sickness bugs between all five of us when the dc were little (4, 3 and 6 months old). It was the autumn/winter that the eldest two started reception and preschool and despite our best efforts at being scrupulous with hygiene, we kept picking them up.
It has been loads better since that time (kids now 7, 6 and 3). Obviously we get the odd bug, but I do remember how horrible that period was.
Hope your dd is feeling better soon.
