Des was playing in the garden with no clothes on apart from pants. He managed to cut the tip of his willy. He is crying as needs a wee and it hurts to much. Given him calpol and he has had a bath to clean it. What else would you do

Germolene with local anaesthetic maybe? Keep an eye on it and if it starts to swell take him to a&e as a precaution.

Sit him back on the bath and run the sink taps to encourage him to wee.

Buy bigger pants.

Salt water? Tbh if it's clean it might be best left overnight to dry. Poor boy must be so very sore just now.

Maybe pouring water over as he wees would help reduce the pain, it must sting!

Ooh ouch! How deep is the cut? Maybe germoline if its not deep deep. It has anastetic may numb pain? And maybe when he needs a wee a wet flannel idea (like us ladies when we need a wee after childbirth and stitches?) If its not great I'd seek medical attention. Good luck!

When I was saw after having DS the midwife told me to pour warm water over me whilst I wee'd to dilute it so it wasn't stinging.

Maybe that would help?

It might be worth seeing the GP as scarring might cause issues

Get him to drink masses so it's really dilute, and encourage him to wee in the bath.

See how you go depends how deep it is to whether you take him to docs and how well/easily he scars I suppose and if it gets infected you know what to do. Hope he has an easier evening and don't worry too much.
