DDs first 'front tooth' came through very early (nearly 5) about the size of her baby tooth and rotated by 90degrees. Initial assumption was that it was a 'supernumerary tooth' and that her adult tooth was yet to come but x-rays ruled this out. Now that her incisors (front 4 teeth) are through at age 7 it looks for all the world like her front tooth has been 'swapped' with the one next to it, going on the sizes of the 4 teeth.
Has anyone had any experience of pretty extreme cosmetic tooth issues at this age? Do braces etc always have to wait until 12/13? She doesn't mind at all and calls it her spikey tooth, but I don't know how long that will last. Seeing the orthodontist at the end of May but would be very interested to hear any stories, her dentist just says he's never seen anything like it!
