Dd2 just started with c pox. She is a picker and I can see she is starting to get lots of pox on her face. She is starting to feel them, touch them and is also rubbing her eyes .... !! Anyone got suggestions on how to stop her! She had a normal spot on her face a while ago and picked it so much she has a scar and it took ages to heal! I don't want to bring it to her attention .. But can see its starting to happen... Eek

When DD had the pox we left a little bowl of Euracin (I think) by her bed at night. Whenever she felt itchy she could dab her finger in the stuff and paint her spots with it. Giving her the control to manage her itching (along with instructions about dabbing not picking) seemed to work.

We used virasoothe gel and mine (then 4 + 2) didn't itch once. We got to the end of our chicken pox fortnight and I realised it was meant to be itchy but they weren't at all moany. They even had grim infected spots and anti-B's, it wasn't exactly mild. Although it did occur to me maybe the anti-B's stopped the itching, not sure if it's a side effect.
