bumpy red rash all over both upper feet

anyone know what this could be. Dd came out of the bath with bumpy red rashes on both upper feet, nowhere else on her body. Today she wore socks and covered shoes when she was out

The rashes don't hurt and aren't itchy. Anyone know wht they could be and what might have caused them?

Yesterday we were briefly in the forest and as it wasn't planned she wore sandals and longish shorts but the grass was high and she was near a lake. I checked for mites but didn't find anything and the rashes are not the bullseye ones that seem to be a symptom of Lyme Disease after a tick bite. She had a mosquito bite on one leg which she scratched open so I couldn't seeif there had been a mite tbh

Put some zink on the mosquito bite (if that is what is was, looks like it) and no idea what to do with the rash. Doctor tomorrow

Sounds like some kind of allergic reaction to the grasses? It would fit with the picture of only the feet being affected. Contact dermatitis type rash.

might be. The rash is no longer red and has gone down but there are still bumps underthe skin, greatly diminished. I was wondering about a grass allergy - never had it before though to my knowledge.

Not sure whether it isi worth gong to the doctors now there is not much to see IYSWIM. I think I ruled out a mite bite. Hmm. she did have bad skin allergies when she was small, it is possible. We didn't eat anything odd though just a tarte flambee ready-made, possibly something in that but then why just the feet?

Ok I'll keep an eye on it today and then see tomorrow if it is gone otherwise I'll ask the doctor

Thanks

Could be an allergic reaction to the grasses etc, or a heat rash. Has she worn the sandals before without socks? If it isn't bothering her, and looks better today, I don't see any point in going to the GP.

Hello! My DD had a similar rash in her feet, a couple in her hands and under the mouth. The GP said it was a virus called "hand, foot and mouth" and said it would clear in a couple of days which it did. I got some leaflets with information which said it is very common on children but I had never heard about it.

Yes it could be hand foot and mouth, usually accompanied by a temperature but symptoms can vary from child to child. The spots are often like tiny blisters. The mouth ulcers are very painful. Sometimes you get spots on the bottom as well, but not always.

I was looking at pictures of those online too last night and it doesn't look like what she has. Mouth seems ok, no pain or itchiness anywhere.

I will hold on to that idea though. She doesn't have a raised temperature but if it is not completely gone by tomorrow, I'll take her to the doctor just in case it is something that needs treating. Thanks for that
