DS (3) has been a bit under the weather since friday (came home from nursery, demanded all the lights off, lay down on the sofa & fell asleep at 5pm - unheard of). He perked up a bit over the weekend, but was then really grumpy and tired again yesterday (had a nap for the first time in over a year).
Also over the weekend I noticed his breath smelt really off - almost fishy smelling.
Way TMI coming up...
His poos over the weekend were quite frequent and very soft looking, and were a weird pale yellow colour. This afternoon he had a poo accident in his trousers, which seemed incredibly loose & wet, and since then has had 4 similar 'poos'. Now, I say 'poo', but it's actually more like yellow water shooting from his bum, and when it's in the loo it's yellow & frothy. Not right at all, and not even like any diahorrea I've experienced before.
He veers from seeming perfectly fine, to having major tantrums over tiny things. Slighthly raised temp, but nothing major.
I'm on night shift tonight so he's home with DH. Anything here ring alarm bells with anyone meaning I should visit GP in the morning, or is this just a bout of diahorrea and I should just sit it out for a day or two?
He's rarely ill, so when there is something wrong I tend to have a bit of a panic .
I've avoided dairy/milk since this afternoon, and am trying to encourage him to drink water. He only ate breakfast yesterday, and hasn't eaten since lunchtime today. What else can I give him to ensure he doesn't get dehydrated?
