Vomiting in 7yo

DS has had vomiting bug for 6wks now He's bn refered to a paediatrician at the hospital but appointment isn't until 9th Dec. The doctor has given him some medicine but so far doesn't seem to be having any effect. Vomiting was initially coming & going on average he was vomiting every 4 days but for the last 15 days he's bn vomiting every day. He appears normal happy self during the day but complains of feeling nauseous in a morning and spends around 2hrs every night vomiting every 10-15mins.
Anyone else got a DS or DD with similar symptoms?
How long can I expect this to last?
Tomorrow will be the 4th wk in a row he's had to take time off school because of it!
It just seems relentless and I know DS just wants to feel better now :(

Cyclical Vomiting Syndrome

I have no idea if that's likely to be what your poor ds is suffering from, but it might be worth a read.

You both have my sincere sympathy. We have been trapped in a seemingly endless round of repeat winter vomiting bugs since the first week in September and that's been bad enough.

Hope you get to the bottom of it and your ds is better soon.
