nappy rashwash often or not

dd has a rash, bright red and with a few pimples. I am not sure how to manage best.
I change her every hour or so and clean it with cotton pads and camomile tea (flask by the changing table), let it air dry (difficult because she wants to crawl away) and put on weleda calendula nappy cream.
now I wonder if maybe I should only change her if the nappy only is wet - that*s what I usually do.

Don't wash her if she isn't wet as it is the dampness adding to the rash. Just use tea when wet to wash away urine - make sure area is dry before applying cream.

had a camomile bath last night and after that crawled around for a while before I put cream on and put on her nappie.
