7 month old being sick after eating chicken?

DD is being weaned following the BLW route. The last two times she has eaten chicken (properly cooked, good food hygiene etc) she has been sick in her cot through the night. We ate at 6pm tonight and she was in bed by just after 7pm. I have had to get her out of her cot as just heard her being sick on the monitor and when i went in she was covered in sick (proper sick, with bits in it!-sorry if TMI )

First time it happened we were having fajitas so she just had a portion of very lightly seasoned chicken and peppers.
Tonight she just had some grilled strips of chicken with boiled carrot, green beans and baby corn...so guessing it must be the chicken??

Could she be allergic to chicken? It isn't something I have ever come across?

She is also teething at the mo, could this be related?

TIA.

Can anyone help pls.

Check with GP, chicken could have been carrying bacteria that your adult stomach could handle, but DD's could not. Keep her well hydrated if she is vomiting. She could be having a problem digesting if she is not chewing pieces up fully before swallowing. She could also have a virus, DD had vomiting bug once and vomited up every meal. Try omitting chicken for a few days then reintroduce to see reaction. If happens again and you are worried you can always call out Doctor or phone NHS Direct for advice.

i have got her downstairs with me now, having some water. Just want to keep an eye on her as the last time it happened she was sick 3 tims within the space of about 30 mins, but it has just been the once so far.

Good idea, NHS Direct number is 0845 4647 if you need it. I have found them quite reassuring and they can take a while to phone you back, if you call early you can get advice about what to do if she vomits again.
