I love the book. Saw the film first and read the book an few years ago, actually as part of my degree!

I've only read the first one, and planning to get the rest of the series now.

Interested to hear anyone else's thoughts on this? It's just such a fascinating book! Maybe this would be better in another topic, but I can't think where.

I'm intrigued by the spiritual aspect of this book, and I'm sure there are so many references I'm missing.

I've not read these books since childhood, so the spiritual bits probably passed me by. I do remember feeling they were very odd, but compelling.
