My godson's mother is pregnant again and I would love to give him a book about this. Know there are quite a few children's books about pregnancy/having a little brother or sister, could anyone recommend one? I'd like a book that is lovely (well written and illustrated) not just informative. He's nearly 2 and loves books. Thank you! x

The New Baby, part of the Usborne First Experiences Series is lovely for younger children. I used it for dd1 when I was pregnant with dd2 and got very fed up of reading it to her.

If you can have a look in your local library as they have a 'talkabout section' for children and you can have a good look at the books to see what you like.

imo you need both waiting for baby and my new baby

they are all pictures with no words so great for this age as you can talk about them in language they understand. 'Waiting for Baby' has pics of the older child with the mother at the doc's having her bp taken and at the scan with her 'seeing the baby on tv', which dd (just 2, am 20wks) found very helpful.

Thanks so much, they all looked great so am going to have to buy all three! Elk, good idea to go to library and check them out, unfortunately I live in Sweden, which is why it was so good that you both (and Amazon!) could help. x
