I haven't read Geraldine McCaughrean's version but she is normally very reliable.

Leon Garfield did a couple I think - with lovely illustrations by Michael Foreman.

Red House have an offer at the moment for a full set. Not sure what sort of reading age though.

My favourites remain Marcia Williams' versions. The format is similar to a comic but with beautiful illustrations. I use them in secondary school for those who find it hard to access the original text.

Leon Garfield.
Have you considered 'The Animated Shakespeare' on DVD? Short, around 20/25 mins long but using an abridged original text.

There's a British publishing house that does a 'Manga Shakespeare' line. It's basically the (abridged) plays adapted as comic books. I'm not sure what plays have been adapted so far though.

Do you mean Salariya books?
I know they've done Julius Caesar and Macbeth as affordable graphic novels. Good footnotes and extra info as well.

I mean the Manga Shakespeare books published by Self Made Hero. It looks like they've done quite a few.
