Frazzled negligent mummy doing this the wrong way round. Dress has some gold on the bodice and could potentially cut off wings. Open to making other alternations/adding bits as long as I can amazon prime them before World Book Day on Thursday.

DD is 3 so might to get book today/tomorrow so she has at least read it and knows who she is supposed to be.

Any suggestions welcome!

The fairy godmother in Cinderella
One of the good fairies in Sleeping Beauty

Angel Gabriel from The Bible!

Look at the Flower Fairies Books to see which one is white or gold

Titania in a Midsummer Night's Dream (Your 3 year old is clearly G and T)

Good witch from Wizard of Oz? Just ignore the wings, don't chop them off.

I was going to say Tatiana too with a floral garland

Could it become a Rapunzel costume without wings?

finova Mon 27-Feb-17 13:54:50

Ladybird Rapunzel books have a white dress. Plait her hair.

Tinkerbell from Peter Pan

Yes fairy godmother in Cinderella. There are lots of toddler friendly versions of Cinderella around.

Also going to suggest "that's not my angel"

Silky the Fairy from The Faraway Tree?

Definitely good witch Glinda from the Wizard of Oz, or that's not my fairy.

Eleanor the snow white fairy, from the rainbow fairy books.

Thank you all! I will attempt to coerce her into being fairy godmother from Cinderella as she already knows the story. Maybe she could be Cinderella if I cut off the wings and buy a glass/clear plastic slipper??

She is very tomboyish though so this might not go down well at all... Any dressing up in the past has been dinosaurs/tigers etc and this dress was a Christmas present which has not seen the light of day since. I just do not have time to sort out anything and planning to put DS in her old dinosaur outfit… Zog for WBD purposes?

Myfanwyprice Mon 27-Feb-17 16:13:33

The princess in zog wears a white and gold dress at one point doesn't she?

ScattyMummy01 Mon 27-Feb-17 16:14:03

Actually I feel terrible now – trying to force her into a girly outfit when she is clearly not interested!

ScattyMummy01 Mon 27-Feb-17 16:14:48

Oh yes she loves Zog! And she is a doctor - she's very into playing doctor these days

ScattyMummy01 Mon 27-Feb-17 16:16:18

They can go as a double act - Zog and doctor/princess... fingers crossed! I can still see it being a battle over who is Zog!

ParadiseCity Mon 27-Feb-17 16:17:39

If she doesn't like it don't force it... get a book she likes, use Prime to get an accessory. Helps if it's a toy. E.g. Harry (normal clothes) and bucketful of dinosaur.

Myfanwyprice Mon 27-Feb-17 16:18:10

I love it when my two go in coordinating dressing up outfits because I'm very sad

ParadiseCity Mon 27-Feb-17 16:18:24

Or just go to Sainsburys and buy a doctor's outfit.

minipie Mon 27-Feb-17 16:56:07

If she wants to be a doctor then could turn an old adult white shirt into a doctor coat with the application of a cross in red pen.

Need to think of a doctor book though!
