Hello wise ones. Can anyone recommend a book/books for a 7 year old who loves reading.
I was thinking of re-reading some Mallory Towers type stuff to assess whether she'd like it (& I'm fairly certain she will, I just wasn't sure if it might be in a year or so).
However, she is just about to move to the USA (east coast) so I was pondering on whether there might be a more relevant American story to help ease her transition. She will be going to a regular American school there.
The only idea I had was Sweet Valley but I wasn't sure if that would be too saccharine/full of daft body image stuff (I loved them for pure escapism but they are daft).
She is really enjoying reading some Dahl and starting to enjoy longer, less kiddie books. I love how bookwormy she is becoming.
Does anyone have any recommendations?
