Just want to give a heads up to this new book, aimed at tween girls and is refreshing to have a strong female character and is very girl positive! (look how much girls love the strong female leads in Frozen!) A bit like a modern day Enid Blyton :)
Is available on Amazon and isn't expensive so a perfect stocking filler.

Here is the link in case you want to check it out:

Ooh! I was just looking for books for my niece. I think she's a little young yet (nearly 4!), but this would be great later on.

I've started this and am enjoying it so far, will say more when I've finished it.

(So far I think it's probably a good thing to stick on your dc's Kindle if you're buying them one for Xmas and as OP says, not expensive.)

Thanks, OP.

It looks interesting, and I'm always willing to give new authors a try. I'll give this one a go for my DD. It's quite cheap, really, a nice little extra for Christmas at no real cost to me (always a good thing!)

Are you the author?

madamehooch

I did a search for the author on twitter yesterday after seeing this. Partly because I also recognised the name of the editor. I found her, and I know it's the right one because she has a blog advertising this book.

She is on MN too, I recognise the username.

Thanks Blue Stilton. I did try to find the book in a bookshop yesterday but they couldn't find any record of it.

I just thought that the OP could still be the author under a namechange. I think she's reasonably well known on MN (is it ok to mention names??)

It's probably just a Kindle book, anyway.

No I'm not the author! Am
I well known on mumsnet?! I've only posted a handful of times!

Yes it is a kindle book

It's an ebook so bookshops won't have it listed.

Sorry, littlemissblue. I didn't mean you (at least under that name, I don't know if you have namechanged!)

I meant the username I am fairly sure is the author, going by her twitter name.

That probably sounds quite confusing now!

I'm the editor of the book, and neither the author nor I know the OP of this thread, I don't think. (thanks for starting the thread, LittleMissBlue - glad you enjoyed the book!)

Could you not give any more hints about the author's user name please. It's not really fair on her to be outed on Mumsnet.
