I borrowoed this trilogy from our library as I'd always wanted to read it, and now my son won't let me near it. He started it yesterday, stayed up to read it and this morning woke up extra early to continue. He is only on page 45, but I am so pleaed that he is doing this. He was enthralled by the idea of action/plastic toys coming to life and interacting with their owners.

If you have a lego-mad child, they may well be interested in this book, too.

He finished the trilogy and asked for the other books in the series. They are now on order from our local library. Meantime he is reading You're a Bad Man Mr Gum.

I read it to ds last year.

He said it was much better than 'Toy Story' Smile

Both my children absolutely loved this book - and the others in the series, (and they are now 21 and 26) - great to hear its still popular Smile

There is a film of it I think, but I don't know if its any good or not.

DH is a teacher and reads this to his classes every year. He says it's the one book that never fails to completely absorb them. He loves reading it too.

My ds loved the Indian in the Cupboard. I read it to him when he was 9, I think. As the owner of at least two million figures (the dust! the dust!) he could really relate to the story.

Word of warning: the film is pants. So disappointing.

DH has read it to his year 4 and year 5 classes. But I suppose it depends on the individual child if they're reading it themselves.
