Agree, its a lovely book. Has your dd read The Little Wooden Horse? There's also a sequel to the two together - funnily enough, its called Gobbolino & the Little Wooden Horse Grin

I've got the story tape as MP3's - Witches Cat, Kitchen Cat and Ships Cat - my DD loves them

I still have a copy.

Get 'Bogwoppit' if you can, that's even better (imho).

Oh I loved this book and does anyone remember the song? It used to make me cry. Such a lovely, gentle, sweet story.

One fine night in a witch's cavern,
two little kittens crept under the door,
one called Sootica (have I remembered it right??) was black all over,
the other, Gobolino, had one white paw.

LOVED IT

Yay yay yay! That's the song! (Yes, it was Sootica).

Who has a home for a kitten?
Who has a home for a cat?
Gobbolino you may call me
I just want a fire and a mat.

I have just read it to my 5 year old dd and she loved it! - any black cat she sees, she thinks might be Gobbolino!
