If baby is breech, does it mean a definite caesarean?

Just for info really - my little girl was head down every time until very recently at 30 weeks she decided to go head up!

I'm sure she'll turn before 36 weeks, but if she doesn't, does breech presentation mean you (1) can't have a homebirth (waterbirth) and (2) you must have a caesarean?

A friend of mine was breech at 37 wks and starting to panic - she went to an accupuncturist and the baby turned... I think some hospitals are also able to help to turn the baby sometimes - although sometimes it just turns itself back round again anyway.

i think you will struggle to get a home waterbirth with NHS community midwives, so might well need to consider independent MWs as loopy ( hello, loopy!! mwah ) has said.

AIMS is a great organisation who can help you if the hospital are totally blocking your way

moxibustion (mugwort) can be used to trun the baby as done by an acupuncturist, or the hostpial can give you an ECV
