Hi All, I'm 40+6 weeks pregnant, as stated in the subject I had a sweep done last night. If nothing happens naturally I'm booked for an induction on wednesday. The thing is that this in my 2nd PG, I had pre-eclampsia with my DD and was induced 11 days before her due date, she was born a day later (she had stopped growing in the womb). I would really like to go into natural labour this time around rather than be induced, I'm just getting a bit negative at the moment that it might not happen naturally. I had a false alarm at 38+2 and thought that that was it, that I would be holding my baby in a couple of hours well that is over 2 weeks ago and still nothing. I have had some bad BH but that has been it.
I'm not sure what exactly I'm asking maybe just that everyone holds there thumbs that things will start happening soon and that I won't need to wait till wednesday to hold my much awaited little one.

Please also remember that you do not have to be induced. You can just be monitored and hold out a bit longer.
The only sweep I had was when I was in early labour and it brought everything on v quickly! Do you have a breast pump? Start using it!! If no, start with nipple stimulation, it really helps. That and (easier said than done) do some relaxing things?

Thanx turtledove, I know I dont have to be induced but I can't wait to meet this little one. I have been doing the nipple stimulation with no success yet. Because of the pre-eclampsia of last time I have had to be as relaxed as possible to keep it from happening again this time around. DH woke me up this morning asking if we should try some BD to see if that would work. I feel like a beached whale so just laughed at him saying that I'm sorry but I don't think I can do that.
