Due to pernicious anaemia and hb count being so so low have been told that i will be having baby under the consultant instead of midwifes..

Does anyone know the difference...feel a bit silly asking but just wondered if it changed labour at all???

It means that the doctor will plan the care that the midwife gives. The midwife will still look after you during your pregnancy. When you are under medical care you are more likely to be monitored continuously during labour and have your waters broken. You still have the right to ask for whatever care you want though.
