Pineapple juice,A trip round the block in my husband's ancient camper van and Pineapple juice, walking about a lot and some more pineapple juice made mine come on his due date. Could have all been conincidental?

i had both the tea and the tablets but started taking them at 39 weeks. I believe the recommendation is not to start taking before 36 weeks JUST IN CASE they bring on labour (didn't for me). There should be no qualitative difference between the tea and the tablets; if anything, the tablets are more likely to be be better.

i have been doing everything to get this baby out (5 days overdue) but I don't believe in it. My cervix has done eberything it needs to do (central, moved forward, thinning nicely 2 cm dilated and very soft) but that was a 5 days ago and still nothing.

My theory is all the things i tried...pineapple, raspberry leaf tea, walking, curries, sex etc etc...helped my cervix but my body is still not ready to give birth yet. I don't think anything can help that that is just a hormone release that will come when it is ready to com!!!

nannyjo, i went the full 2 weeks over and had to be induced, taking double dose of the raspberry leaf stuff every day - it didn't bring the labour on but I had a half hour stage 2 labour and nice easy delivery - so it's worht continuing with, because improved muscle tone for stage 2 labour (and stage 3) is one of the benefits of raspberry leaf.

My DS, at 16 days overdue, weighed 7lb 5oz and was perfect - he was just a slow cooker!

I started doubling the dose at 40 weeks - nothing to lose by then and everything to gain!
I wrote an article about my experience of using it which I will post on my blog

link to my blog - isn't it amazing how the mummybrain affects your memory?! I thought I had started taking it before I was due but apparently I started at 40 weeks and went straight onto double dosage!
