Hi, my DS is now 7 months old and i still hav problems with scar, had so many infections, anyone else still suffering? Was sent home from hospital after 2 days, think this may have had something to do with it but had no choice.

Sorry i cant help much, (ive had 3 but healed well) but after you wash your scar do you have time to lay on your bed and allow air to get to it this helps or use panty liners to help keep it dry during the day

Have you been back to see the consultant about this? I had problems in the first two months but since then have been fine. If it's gone on this long you may need some intervention to fix longer term. I'm assuming you may want another baby at some point and if so getting it sorted is imperative!

No more babies. he was no 3 and was not planned, dr and midwife tell me its my age, probably not ideal to have babies in late 30's.

you must get help for this, nothing to do with having more babies but because it must be affecting you so much physically.

Very sorry to hear that, MIC. I've has four sections (last at 36 years) and had no problems but a friend has ahd recurring problems with her scar after two. Really worth going to see someone, and being pushy if you need to. I think sometimes they don't think it is much of a problem but my friend has found it very depressing.
