Sorry this is a bit trivial but I'm curious - what does your tummy look like say, a week after you've given birth. It it still rounded or does it just deflate? I know I won't really be thinking about it then, I just want to know what to expect.

it really depends, everyone is so different - a bit jelly like usually.

I still looked 5 months pregnant with an extremely wobbly belly.

dedlated ime - and stretchmarked! My tummy went down much better this time, mainly I think because DD b/f all the time, where as DS was jaundiced and didn't feed properly for the first week.

Would agree with the jelly-like, probably just as big as when pregnant but with no baby inside to bulk it out so not rounded just empty and jelly like.

Mines was deflated and felt abit like rubber. really strange. Glad to say 3 years down the line it pretty much back to how it was pre bump.

Depends how much fat you put on during pregnancy.
I was back in my jeans after about 10 days (preen).
It doesnt deflate as such, your womb contracts back to its almost normal size. Bfeeding helps this to happen and you may have cramps which are a good sign that this is happening and are almost as painful as the contractins during the birth were, be warned. This only lasted a couple of days for me tho. good luck

Wobbly, deflated...

My DS is 8 weeks old - anyone with older children like to cheer me up with telling me how much better it gets from here on in? My jeans fit lovely on legs and bum but still won't do up

I was so at my tummy when I'd just given birth. It was so weird, like a deflated balloon. Just like jelly and it wobbles when you walk!

My dd is 6 and a half months. I've lost all my baby weight and my stomach has gone back to the size it was but because I lost it too quickly I've been left with a bit of saggy skin . S

One of my friends walks out of hospital as though she was never pregnant 6 hours after delivery. Personally I was a bit wobbly for a few weeks but able to get in my jeans after a week. I didnt notice any difference with my stomache a few months fater giving birth. EVeryone is different. Its more to do with what it looked like before and how much weight you put on. It can only wobble if the flab is there to begin with . I carry weight around my middle so always more prone to wobbling.
