Whipps Cross or Harlow?

Hi all

I was hoping to get some advice.

I live bang in the middle of whipps and princess Alexandra and I'm not sure where I want to have my baby, I've gone for my 12 week scan at Harlow and it seemed nice enough but I waned to get a few opinions on peoples experiences with both.

I was born at whipps and my mum couldn't recommend anymore however I've had friends who have had their babies at Harlow and also really praise there so I'm really torn as to where to give birth.

Does anyone have any experiences or pros/cons to either?

Thanks in advance

Hi
Had both mine at Harlow many years ago. Wonderful then and wonderful now - my DD had her baby there 2 years ago and another baby due there in 2 weeks. Excellent care. Excellent neonatal.

I was really apprehensive about Whipps, currently 28 weeks pregnant with DC2 and so far they have been great.

Can't comment on actual care during or after labour as I had DC1 at North Middlesex, but the antenatal has been great. Lovely midwives, appointments pretty much on time - max 10 minutes late and I've seen the same midwife the whole way through.

Definitely been pleasantly surprised. Whipps was a natural choice because I live 5 minutes away. It might even be worth timing the journeys at weird times to make a decision because getting across the Green Man can be a nightmare. And also parking for appointments. We never park at Whipps, I either walk or Uber because it's always so busy in the car parks.
