VBAC vs planned c-section

Hi I'm sorry if this question has been asked before but just after some advice/experiences please!

I'm due my 2nd baby in April and really not sure whether to try for a vaginal birth or go for another section! My daughter was born via emergency c-section, I wasn't dilating and her heart rate dropped rapidly so needed an emergency section, she also had to be resuscitated.

I would love to try a vaginal bit so worried and anxious about anything going wrong and ending up in another emergency.
I've also suffered 2 miscarriages so this whole pregnancy as been full of worry.

What would you ladies do or have done?
Thanks

I'd have a c section. Ive had a bad vaginal birth though so my view is skewed and I'm having a section this time. Vaginal birth is massively over rated IMO!

I'm due not long after you and dithering as well. I (eventually) got to fully dilated but DD got herself stuck so I ended up with an emcs. I was utterly delirious by that point though and couldn't consent to anything from about 12hrs before that point so I'm terrified of something similar happening again if I try for a vbac.

@Endofrelationship - I could have written this. I'm due my second and have chosen a section because of my experience. (29/01).

Xx

@Yakadee ended up with an emergency section this morning as DS wasn't waiting around! It was amazing! A genuinely healing experience after the shit storm of my last delivery. I'm now showered, up and about, very little pain and breastfeeding. I'm able to get DD out of the cot with no trouble. I feel a million times better than last time, though I'm starting with the wind Sad

C section. Not worth the risk imo. I had planned c section for second ds. It was fabulous.

@Endofrelationship - oh wow. Congratulations! That's great that you're feeling so much better. I had a terrible recovery with my first so very promising to hear that. All the best to you and your little one x

@Endofrelationship congratulations glad you are both doing well and that your feeling ok!

I think I'm going to go for the planned c-section, I really don't want to risk going through all that again.
Just hope they understand at my VBAC clinic appointment
